I know you don’t consider yourself to be a brave person. Shy. Intimidated even, because you feel that what you have to offer isn’t enough. Sometimes you even feel like what’s inside of you is so big and great that it scares you because you don’t know why something so magnificent has been entrusted to a girl like you. Afraid, but in reality you are braver than you know. Deep down inside of you there is a fearlessness, a boldness that will change you forever if you ever decide to unleash it.
It has to be your choice. You can choose to keep hiding, keep covering up the greatness that is within you, but that will never serve you well.
You will never be happy pretending to be less than who you really are.
You will never find your true purpose in life if you keep denying the expression of your gifts. You can’t continue to blend in with the crowd, when the extraordinary inside of your soul is screaming for freedom. Every time you say to yourself “I can’t do that”, you’re delaying your future and existing inside of a reality that was never meant for you.
There’s a constant battle waging on the inside of you. Should I? Can I? What will they think? Will they accept me? Am I good enough? Can I really do this? Most of the time what others say about you isn’t what keeps you from trying, living, and being brave. It’s what you say to yourself. More importantly, it’s what you believe, no matter who says it.
You may look and feel ordinary, and truthfully sometimes you feel less than that – but in reality, you are extraordinary. You aren’t satisfied with normal, mundane, common things. You know there’s more. So much more.
Bravery breaks through the barrier that keeps you from extraordinary, but getting to that glorious destination is a challenge.
You can choose to be brave and bold, even if you don’t feel that way. You can choose to step out, confident in the gifts God gave you. You can embrace who you really are, instead of living your life less than what you know you’ve been called to. You can choose to be unique, forging the path ahead that leads to greatness, fulfillment, and contentment.
The feeling of fear may never go away, so even if you have to do it afraid, it’s really ok. You’ll never know what lies on the other side until you cross the shore. It all begins by taking the first step, by not just deciding to try but actually trying. If you fail, it’s ok. If they laugh, keep going. If you mess up, it’s not the end. Your bravery will lead you to gold mines, but you gotta dig. Unafraid, unintimidated, bold, and confident.
